Do Without is an ongoing collaboration that explores doing without things as a catalyst for thinking and making differently.
In 2016 we were awarded Jerwood Foundation funding for an off-grid residency at Low Parkamoor, Cumbria. We explored doing without electricity, running water, and phones. We attempted to rely on our memories for things we would normally look up on the internet. We baked without recipes, walked without maps, took analogue photos, tried to draw our computer keyboards from memory, and had to stop doing most things when we ran out of daylight.

Since we live in different cities (and often different countries), we like to meet up in Googledocs.
Live Doing shared document experiments
Sometimes we visit each other and do some experiments in person. It turns out we still haven't got our computer keyboards memorised.
